AChA Performance & Rehearsal Dress Code

Performance Attire Standards

The Australian Christian Orchestra and Choir maintain a unified appearance through specific dress standards that reflect our values and mission.

Official Performance Attire

  • White bottoms with white tops
  • Cream bottoms with cream tops
  • Cream bottoms with white tops
  • White bottoms with cream tops
  • White or cream shoes required

Jewellery Guidelines

For all performances:

  • Only metallic jewellery permitted (gold, silver, etc.)
  • No coloured jewellery allowed
  • Keep jewellery minimal and tasteful

Headwear Standards

Performance Rules:

  • No hats or head coverings during performances
  • Exceptions only for costume-specific requirements
  • All exceptions must be approved by leadership

Symbolic Significance

Our white and cream attire symbolizes purity and represents being washed as white as snow through the Lord Jesus's sacrifice on the cross.

Performance-Specific Requirements

  • Shoulders must remain covered
  • Skirts and dresses must fall below the knee
  • All attire should be modest and professional
  • Clothing should be pressed and well-maintained

Rehearsal & General Guidelines

All members should:

  • Dress modestly and appropriately
  • Avoid revealing or distracting attire
  • Refrain from wearing clothing with political messages
  • Choose attire that promotes unity within the community
  • Avoid using profile pictures on Heartbeat that could be considered inappropriate or questionable by the most conservative members of our organisation

Leadership reserves final discretion and subjectivity on all dress code matters whether in person at our rehearsals or events, or in regards to profile pictures used across any of our official platforms.
